Sleepy Gull -- Geelong
I took this from about 30m away on my 210mm lens, sitting in my car. I took a few shots of this seagull and found that the closed eyes shot provided the most intrigue. I took the temperature down to complement the natural mood, I boosted the contrast, lowered the shadows, exposure and increased the saturation of the blacks. I do like to create very simplistic shots like this one - the old saying "less is more" is really applicable at times. From a creative standpoint these shots are great because there is 'no where to hide' with any affects or changes you make.
